Once again (as we did about this time last year), the Webster Team must announce that it will not be possible to hold the Webster Memorial Trophy Competition in 2021 — not even virtually!
As always, the decision is based on the health and safety of our Webster staff, our applicants, and those who support the applicants. The virtual version of Webster would have called on many applicants to travel to access a Redbird simulator in order to complete the virtual flight tests required for our national finals. With travel not currently possible for much of Canada and with all indications suggesting that restrictions may well remain in place for some time, we see no option but to postpone the Webster Memorial Trophy Competition (again!) until next year.
Right now, the efforts of the Webster Team are directed to Webster 2022! We ask for everyone’s patience as we work through closing this year’s virtual competition and getting ready for Webster 2022.
Thank you so much to all our supporters! We look forward to working with you again for the 2022 competition. Until then, please continue to take the advice of our many reliable health care experts. Take care of yourselves and those close to you as we move toward a positive resolution of the current pandemic.
Between now and Webster 2022, please keep safe and healthy.
